Local Aboriginal Culture Receives Toronto Media Coverage

The Chippewas of Rama First Nation PowWow received media coverage recently in the Toronto Sun.

The Rama PowWow, near Orillia, is one of three held annually in BruceGreySimcoe.  Saugeen First Nation, near Southampton, and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, Cape Croker near Wiarton, each host a powwow in August.  The celebration of First Nation culture features traditional dancing, drumming, native art work and food.

Participants and visitors alike travel from across the province, the country, from the States and beyond to experience all the powwows offer.
