Is your community ready to make the shift to developing experiences?  RTO7 is committed to helping with the development of new experiences across the region to increase visitor spend and increase visitation.

Experience Development 101 is a one-day training course designed to teach participants about experiential travel - what it is and why it has value to tourism operators and tourism industry partners.  Over the course of the day, participants engage in a customized Discovery! to better understand what an experience is.  They are also introduced to new tools and templates with which to apply the day’s learning to create new experiences. Integrating cuisine, the arts, nature and culture, this intensive training course is a “roll up your sleeves” workshop that practices experiential in all aspects of the workshop.

This is not a seminar or a conference.  It is “hands-on” training.

Participants who complete Experience Development 101 will be invited to create their own experiences in Experience Development 102.

Top 5 reasons why you should attend this experiential training:

  1. Take part in a community experience, which will help you understand the ingredients required to craft a successful experience. Canadian and regional examples of experiences, lessons from tourism operators, economic frameworks, presentations and multiple hands-on learning activities will be provided to learn about experiential travel.
  2. Learn to use the Experience Planning template and the Tourism Experience Development Process, as well as become familiar with the steps to crafting experiences. Upon completing the course, these tools will help inspire you to start the shift from current activities to be more experienced based and/or to create new experiences.
  3. This training program will help change the way you think about experiences: what they are, how experiential tourism development can add value to your business and community, and how experiences relate to BruceGreySimcoe’s target consumers.
  4. Learn how to take an existing product and create a higher yield customer experience for your ideal guests, which can add to your bottom line.
  5. Become part of a community of experiential travel collaborators trained together, who support each other after the training.
