Celebrate Ontario is an annual program that helps festivals and events enhance their programs, activities and services. This support helps grow tourism in the province by making it easier for event organizers to offer new and improved experiences that will attract more tourists and increase visitor spending.
Organizers of festivals and events interested in applying to Celebrate Ontario 2014 must do so using the
Grants Ontario web-based application system.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the
Celebrate Ontario 2014 Application Guide carefully for detailed instructions on how to apply and for information on changes to this year’s program.
Based on feedback received, a change to the Celebrate Ontario funding structure has taken place. Celebrate Ontario 2014 will no longer have the three tier funding structure. The new funding formula will be based on a percent of the event’s operating budget and proposed enhancement costs.
To ensure program applicants understand this and other changes being introduced to Celebrate Ontario, a series of online training sessions are being offered through Microsoft Webex to assist event organizers in applying to the Celebrate Ontario 2014 program To register for one of the six English or French sessions, event organizers or other interested organizations can follow this link and will be asked to enter the training date they prefer using the
Doodle.com registration system.
Regional Tourism Advisors are also available to help with any questions festivals and events organizers might have about their Celebrate Ontario 2014 application.
The deadline to apply for Celebrate Ontario 2014 is November 12, 2013 at 5 p.m.
