Through the Recreational Fisheries Conservation Partnership Program, $246,700 was received for the Scanlon Creek Restoration Project.
The project will help provide access for spawning fish and restore the former pond to a natural wetland habitat. As much as $10 million will be made available through the Conservation Program to support recreational fisheries habitat conservation. This is good news as BruceGreySimcoe is a popular destination for recreational fishing.
