OTMPC Re-aligns Industry Partners Proposal Program (IPPP) starting April 1, 2014

Changes are being implemented to encourage increased visitation and expenditure from overnight and out-of-province visitors and to align the program with OTMPC's evolving provincial, national and international mandate and marketing priorities.

Beginning April 1, 2014, OTMPC will operate the renamed Tourism Industry Partner Program (TIPP, formerly known as IPPP) with the following changes:
  • Two established deadlines: There will be two application deadlines, January 15, 2014 for spring/summer initiatives and June 1, 2014 for fall/winter initiatives, to help better manage planning and budgeting.
  • Emphasis on out-of-province visitation: Marketing activities from industry consortia that target out-of-province and overnight visitors will be emphasized, in order to encourage visitors to stay longer and enjoy Ontario's many regions and experiences.
  • Increased funding maximum: TIPP investment will be up to 40% of a consortia's out-of-province media buy to a maximum of $200,000.

Starting at the end of October, submissions for campaigns in April 2014 and beyond will be made via Grants Ontario. Grants Ontario can be accessed at www.grants.gov.on.ca. To read the revised TIPP submission guidelines, please visit the OTMPC website at www.tourismpartners.com
