Province to Pay for Dock Repair Costs for Chi-Cheemaun

The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines will foot the $292,000 bill to the keep the M.S. Chi-Cheemaun afloat this summer.

Low water levels in Lake Huron have rendered the docking facilities at both Tobermory and South Baymouth unsafe.  Confirmation and approval from Transport Canada is still required for the repairs to go forward.
