Public Consultation Requested for Proposed Changes to Ontario's Fire Code

Stakeholders are invited to participate in a web-based consultation on a package of amendments to the Fire Code.  Comments will be accepted until May 9, 2014.

Details of the Technical Advisory Committee's (TAC) recommendations are provided in the report, “Report on Improving Carbon Monoxide Safety for Ontarians”, which can be found by clicking on this website link

In addition, the consultation also includes proposed Fire Code changes to current smoke alarm requirements to ensure their testing, maintenance and replacement provisions are consistent with the proposed CO alarm requirements.
