Kincardine to Market Surfing

Research shows that Kincardine's Station Beach is considered one of Canada's best surfing destinations, making it possible to attract a new type of tourist to the municipality's beaches.

As part of RTO7's Partnership Funding program, Kincardine Tourism investigated the potential growth of surfing on its shores.  Recently, consultant Mike Johnson of urbanMetrics made a presentation to council with the good news that there are definitely economic benefits to be had as Kincardine's reputation as a surfing destination grows.

The story can be found on Bayshore Broadcasting - "Marketing Surfing in Kincardine".
