Culture Development Fund Application Period Soon to Open

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport is pleased to announce that the application period will soon open for the Culture Development Fund  -- a new $3 million grant program to strengthen cultural organizations and their leadership.

Examples of eligible projects
As this is the inaugural year of the Culture Development Fund,  project examples have been posted online to help you understand program parameters.

Working together for a stronger culture sector
The development of partnerships with a cultural sector or across sectors is strongly encouraged. You will also be eligible for a higher level of funding if you apply as part of a consortium.

Deadline for applications is Friday, September 6
Applications must be submitted through Grants Ontario. The application form will be posted soon on the Ministry website, so check back in a few days. You are encouraged to apply early as it may take some time to register in the system if you haven’t already set up an account. Information is available on the portal to help you through the registration process.
