Simcoe County Trails Hoping to Create Pilgrimage Route to Martyrs' Shrine

The regional trails group says that an established and signed pilgrimage trail will attract more tourism dollars and benefit area businesses.

The trail plans draw their inspiration from the Spanish Camino de Santiago, which attracts thousands of pilgrims to northern Spain each year.  The trails group is asking for permission to add signage along already established trails that lead to the Midland shrine.
