New Executive Director for RTO7 - A Message from the RTO7 Chair

To:          BruceGreySimcoe Stakeholders
From:     Paul Crysler, Chair, RTO7

On behalf of the RTO7 Board of Directors, I am delighted to announce that Bill Sullivan has accepted the position of Executive Director and officially started in his new role on Monday, February 10th.  Bill will continue to manage RTO7’s marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Bill is likely no stranger to many of you. His successful tourism career features a substantial and varied history, beginning with his post-secondary education, and continuing to the present day. He brings with him a wealth of tourism experience and knowledge, both of the tourism industry and, through his previous role as Marketing Director, RTO7.  Please join us in welcoming him to his new position, and in supporting his shared objective to continue to make RTO7 (as BruceGreySimcoe) a four-season tourism destination. Bill brings with him a spirit that is collaborative, inclusive and innovative.

In addition, the Board would like to thank the search firm, Odgersberndtson of Toronto, for their professionalism and assistance to the selection committee.  Their guidance was invaluable when the committee assessed the substantial number of applicants received.  At the same time, I want to recognize those who submitted input to the search firm, which helped develop the profile required for this position. This input was extremely helpful as a guide to the selection committee and during the interview process.  Several Directors on the Board contributed significantly in this process and will be recognized for their efforts in the near future.
