First Maple Trees Have Already Been Tapped This Season

The weather plays a huge part in the multi-million-dollar maple syrup industry and this winter's cold temps led to the first trees being tapped earlier this month.

Maple syrup is an important industry in our region and its production draws in large numbers of tourists for local festivals and visits to local producers and suppliers.
