Please be sure to check the Partnership Funding resource page regularly for updated information, including answers to FAQs.

We encourage those considering applying for partnership funding to review the guidelines and to plan to attend one of three upcoming information sessions (RSVP below) before submitting applications.

The Simcoe Muskoka Workforce Development Board is a community directed, non-profit corporation leading Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka in their approach to workforce development and labour market planning.

They Board does not currently have representation from the Tourism sector and and encourages anyone with an interest and experience in the sector to put forward their name for a position with SMWDB.

Sports Tourism Workshop - Midland

Sports tourism is the fastest growing grassroots economic development initiative in Canada today, with approximately $3.6 billion in annual domestic spending.

An interactive workshop planned for May 14, 2013 is designed to build capacity at the local level and help communities become more actively involved in the sport tourism industry, including how to maximize revenue associated with bidding, hosting and managing sports events.
