Seven Regional Tourism Organizations have collaborated in requesting action on the Trent-Severn & Rideau waterways, and have succeeded in bringing media attention to the matter.

Summer Experience Program 2013 Grants

Grants Ontario has released program guidelines, terms and conditions for the 2013 Summer Experience Program which provides funding to not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, and Aboriginal organizations and First Nations, to create career-related summer employment opportunities for students in the tourism sector. New this year, tourism-related applicants can apply for funding in areas including product development, investment attraction, marketing and communications or travel counselling services.
