HORSE AND BUGGY TRAIL MEETING FOR LOCAL ARTISTS, LOCAL FOOD PRODUCERS
AND TOURIST BUSINESSES IN SOUTHGATE

Dundalk ON – Local artists, producers or processors of local food products or tourist businesses in Southgate are invited to attend one of two Horse and Buggy Trail new member meetings on Wednesday April 17 in the McIntyre building, 250 Owen Sound Street in Dundalk. The first meeting is being held at 11:30 to 1 pm.  Bring your lunch. The second is from 6 pm until 7:30. There will be coffee and cookies at both meetings.

The Horse and Buggy Trail has successfully focused on a farm gate tour and local businesses in southern Southgate.  But there is room for more. Each business must fit criteria that promote the local heritage, local food and artisans. Southgate is rich in tourism experiences. There are opportunities for business sponsorships that do not fit into the tourism criteria as well.

The Horse and Buggy Trail project produces 15 000 brochures which are distributed across southern Ontario and the GTA.  A web-site is being upgraded to include a downloadable map and enhanced listings for businesses. An advertising and public relations campaign is already underway. Bus tours and other events are in the works.
