Simcoe Muskoka Workforce Development Board (SMWDB) is a Not For Profit governed by a Board of Directors representing business, labour and special interest groups in our region.
SMWDB is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU). As part of MTCU’s operational strategy and in an effort to gain a better picture of the workforce issues and opportunities within the Simcoe and Muskoka region, Simcoe Muskoka Workforce Development Board is offering this survey.
Simcoe Muskoka Workforce Development Board uses the data for two things:

To publish a Local Labour Market Plan (LLMP) yearly and this information will be included in next February’s issue. Past LLMPs and current projects can be view at smwdb.com

To use the information to determine gaps and needs within our communities to inform which partnership projects we undertake for the next fiscal year
The purpose of this survey is to understand the most pressing workforce challenges. This year we are focusing on candidate recruitment and job retention issues.
