The Tourism Relief Fund is made possible by the Government of Canada and Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) and administered by Regional Tourism Organization 7 (RTO7). It is available to the tourism sector in BruceGreySimcoe for applications up to $100,000.
The fund will help facilitate the recovery and long-term growth of the tourism economy within the province, supporting tourism stakeholder investment in upgrades to facilities, services or enhanced sustainability, inclusivity programming that will benefit the visiting tourist and/or tourism employees.  The fund is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs),* incorporated businesses, not-for-profit incorporated organizations, municipalities, and Indigenous, First Nation, Metis and Inuit owned businesses, communities, and organizations**. 
Intake opened on April 12, 2022 and closed on May 15, 2022, 12:00 PM.
*SMEs – Have fewer than 500 employees.
** Indigenous, First Nation, Metis and Inuit owned Tourism Businesses have a choice to submit their application through Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO) or RTO7.  Please do not submit through both organizations as the ITO application and program differs from RTO7’s application and program. Please use the application supplied by the organization you are applying to.
Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO) is delivering the Tourism Relief Fund in support of Indigenous tourism in the province of Ontario. If your business or organization is 51% or more Indigenous-owned and controlled, please visit ITO's Tourism Relief Fund webpage to apply and access additional program support. As the recognized voice for Indigenous tourism in Ontario, ITO's program is customized to the needs of Indigenous communities, organizations and businesses. ITO and RTO7 will work together to support the growth of Indigenous tourism in the BruceGreySimcoe region.
Funding available per applicant 
  • SME Incorporated Private Sector - 50% of Eligible Costs up to $100,000 reimbursement
  • Indigenous, First Nation, Metis and Inuit owned Tourism Businesses - 50% of Eligible Costs up to $100,000 reimbursement
  • Incorporated NFP - 100% of Eligible Costs up to $100,000 reimbursement
  • Indigenous Band Councils - 100% of Eligible Costs up to $100,000 reimbursement
  • Municipalities - 100% of Eligible Costs up to $100,000 reimbursement
Ineligible Applicants
  • The funding provided through the Tourism Relief Fund excludes Restaurants, Retail Sector, Hotels, Sole Proprietors and Partnerships. Click HERE for more information.
