Attractions Ontario Introduces New Award Program for 2016
Attractions Ontario is pleased to announce the 1st Annual Ontario's Choice Awards. This award is chosen by the people that visit your attractions. Once finalists are selected, consumers will be eligible to vote on who they think deserves to win in each category.  The Top Attraction prize will be presented at the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario's Annual Gala as part of the Tourism Summit. 

This is an opportunity for us to showcase our amazing members and the fantastic contributions they make to the tourism industry.

Categories are:
  • Top Museums/Art Galleries/Historic Sites
  • Top Small Museums/Art Galleries/Historic Sites (under 30,000 annual visitors)
  • Top Outdoor Attraction
  • Top Touring Experience (rail, boat, air, walking, cycling)
  • Top Festival and Event
  • Top Performing Arts Attraction
  • Top Small Performing Arts Attraction (under 30,000 annual visitors)
  • Top Attraction

  • Colonel Don Dailley Lifetime Achievement Award - The Attractions Ontario Lifetime Achievement Award is to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the development and promotion of the tourism industry in Ontario.   • Tourism Champion of the Year - Many individuals contribute countless hours of their time to their communities, providing quality and memorable experiences to local residents and visitors alike.   • Co-Op Student of the Year - Co-Op students help employers reduce employee overload, offer new perspectives and provide an introduction to potential new hires. Co-Op students in turn gain valuable experience putting their classroom learning to the test in real-world environments while completing their academic studies.
