April 2016 Updates from OTMPC

April 2016 Updates from OTMPC
There are some new promotional opportunities with the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) in 2016.

Ontario Signature Experiences Applications Update
The Ontario Signature Experience program will recommence soon, with applications available in Spring 2016. To assist applicants with determining whether their experiences are ready a pre-questionnaire will be available, to be completed prior to submitting a full application.  A continuous intake process will allow organizations the flexibility of applying once their experiences are market ready. An Evaluation Committee of industry representatives coordinated by OTMPC will evaluate the applications and OTMPC will recommend appropriate Ontario Signature Experience candidates to Destination Canada for inclusion in the Canadian Signature Experience program.

The Ontario Signature Experience program was launched in November 2013 to promote must-see travel experiences with global market appeal to travel trade representatives and tour operators.  The program is designed to showcase to international trade and tour operators the best and most unique tourism experiences in the province that will motivate more people to visit Ontario. There are currently 59 Signature Experiences in Ontario, 32 of which are Canadian Signature Experiences.

A full list of Ontario Signature Experiences as well as more information on the program can be found at Ontario Signature Experience Information.

Join OTMPC in International Markets
In the UK, Germany, France, Japan and China, OTMPC continues to work with the Destination Canada and local tour operators to inspire consumers to choose Ontario for their travel plans, and works with the travel trade to develop new product and equip travel agents with knowledge they need to help close the sale.
