18/19 Partnership Program 

Regional Tourism Organization 7 (RTO7) is now accepting applications for the 2018/19 Partnership Program.  In the past, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Sport has provided the organization with $336,000 in funding, providing matching dollars can be raised from tourism partners.  RTO7 will contribute additional funds from its base funding towards these partnerships. 

Strong partnerships and a coordinated, collaborative approach to product development, regional planning and marketing are essential to the future sustainability and increased competitiveness of tourism across BruceGreySimcoe.

Partnership projects will support RTO7’s business plan goal of driving overnight accommodation within the region and extending length of stay.

Partnership Program Guidelines/Applications can be found below.  Applications are now being accepted and will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the relevant application deadlines below or until available funds have been allocated to approved projects. Note that application approval is based on merit and alignment with RTO7 business goals.  Applications will be reviewed in the order received, beginning in April. Please anticipate several weeks review time through the early spring period.  Also please note that last year’s funds were allocated prior to the end of Q1 so it is critical to get your application in as soon as possible!

Note: To ensure sufficient time to complete the project, experience development projects approved and with consultant work underway by August 31/18 will receive 1:1:1 funding; projects underway any later receive 1:1 funding

Project categories/elements are similar to last year with the following changes:
  • Addition of Static Images (photography) to the Video Advertising category
  • Refinement of the RTO7 Tourism Wayfinding Signage Standards & Specifications Manual to reflect AODA requirements and to allow for custom sign posts in some circumstances 
  • Eligibility of Great Lakes Waterfront Trust sign post purchase within the Signage category
  • Addition of Simplified Chinese translation
  • As a result of demand on the program, there is now a cap of 3 Partnership projects/partner to a total partner contribution of $75,000
